David Huck


David R. Huck, M.A, C.S.C.

David has a passion for developing leaders! With over 15 years of Leadership Coaching, facilitating and consulting to management, he has motivated leaders to seek their higher meaning and meet their goals. As a pragmatically focused facilitator, David provides exciting materials for success in the leadership, management, and business environments. David is also the V.P. of the Okanagan Coaches Association, and an I.C.F. member.

His fields include: Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Leadership Coaching, Building High Performance Teams, Change Management, Conflict Resolution, Communicating for Success, and Organizational Leadership. When it comes to meeting the needs of clients, David believes in tailoring the program for each client.

Among his educational qualifications, David holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University, he is a Temperament Certified Professional, is Achieve Global Certified (Management and Leadership) and a B.A. Equivalent (Industrial Psychology).

Some of his clients include: Canada World Youth; Human Resources Development Canada; Interior Health, the Province of British Columbia Ministries of the: Environment, Advanced Education and Training, and Forests (Forest Renewal); Okanagan College; and Credit Unions of British Columbia.

David is an avid athlete, and has completed Ironman Canada, and many marathons. In one of his paramount team challenges, he skippered a racing yacht in the challenging 2,500 mile Victoria-Maui International Yacht Race.

Her Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for Business speaks to her entrepreneurial spirit, and her experience speaks to her success as a Business Coach and Facilitator. Angela solidly supports all women in business.
Angela’s expertise is in the marketing and retail merchandising. In addition, her business strategies have always been on the leading edge, and have led her down the path to success. She puts her Early Childhood Education certification to very good use in the classroom environment in training and developing people to meet their full potential. She has promoted a fair trade marketing policy, well prior to the recent avalanche where everyone jumps on the latest trend. Angela has utilized “Organic and Shop Local” business principles for years, outpacing the recent trends in that area.

Valerie’s inspiration comes from helping others to discover and achieve their potential as transformational leaders.  She has a diverse background in leadership, coaching, adult education, facilitation, teaching, and professional speaking. She has held leadership roles in various sectors including university education, the IT sector, and Healthcare.

Valerie holds a Master Degree in Leadership, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, both from Royal Roads University, and is an Associate Certified Coach and member of the International Coach Federation. She is a certified NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and is also certified to administer the MBTI® personality indicator and various other Psychometric assessment tools.  Valerie is a current member of the Okanagan Professional Coaches Association and the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.

Valerie inspires her clients to create winning results while building their capacity as effective leaders, learners, and business professionals. Her focus is on leadership and team development, leading change versus just managing it, communication and inter-personal skills, and building a coaching culture. Her clients praise her commitment to ethical and professional conduct while focusing on excellence in service. She has a proven ability to establish engaging and trusting relationships while fostering a safe environment for learning and growth. Amongst her varied interests, Valerie is a senior skydiver, instructor, and coach in the sport of recreational skydiving. She is passionate about helping others to overcome their self-imposed limitations and fears in a way that transcends to greater confidence in both personal and professional life.  In the winter, she is a volunteer first aid ski patroller at Silver Star Mountain.

As a life-long learner, Anita combines other diverse interests and studies with an intense curiosity and a deep respect for people. Sean has a professional background in Business Development and a focus on Marketing Strategies. He brings with him a Sales up / Cost down solution for small to medium sized businesses in all industries. He also has excellent skills in Business Plan creation, Implementation and Cash Flow Management. Sean has 15 years experience in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. Most recently Sean was the Business Development Manager of Ric’s Grill Corporate, a chain of successful Steak & Seafood Restaurants located throughout Western Canada. He played an integral role in the expansion and franchise operations of the business starting from 7 restaurants in 2003 and culminating in 16 Restaurants in 2007.
Prior to moving to Kelowna, Sean spent 5 years working closely with Tourism Organizations as the Harbourmaster of 3 transient municipal marinas located along the Trent-Severn Waterway in Ontario. This is one of Canada’s National Historic Sites, an inland navigation route which took 87 years to build forming a navigable route from Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay. This route is currently travelled by over 200,000 tourist boaters annually.
Sean is a member of the Ski Patrol at Big White, skiing is his passion.

Christine has had a lifelong interest in and a passion for the development of leaders.  She has worked as an independent consultant and held senior level positions in both health-care and the financial services industry.  She holds an undergraduate degree in Education from the University of BC, a Master’s in Leadership from Royal Roads University and a certificate in the Evidence-Based Coaching program from Fielding Graduate University in California.

Christine’s areas of expertise include systems thinking, change management, process consultation and strategic thinking.  She has a deep curiosity about people and organizational culture and a passion for helping people create environments where creativity and innovation can thrive.  Christine believes that leaders today, have to first and foremost, be leaders of people.

Joseph (a Professional Coach since 1999) brings wide experience and deep understanding of people so that when it is appropriate, in addition to one with one coaching of the Leaders, just the right facilitation is designed, delivered and followed up to make the best positive change stick for corporate groups.
Joseph comes to coaching via 15 years as a Naval Officer followed by 15 years as a business Leader/entrepreneur who has started, revived, grown, bought and sold a number of successful companies. Bringing increased clarity to clients so that they can more easily and quickly make the right decisions is his primary focus. With increased clarity comes greater natural resolve and energy to do the right things.
People are the biggest variable in the success of almost any undertaking. Thus, bringing people to being greater, in their own way, is the success formula that most often produces enduring positive change.
Joseph is a patent holder, a book author, an entrepreneur and a Leader. He received his training and certification, including the ten month Leadership experience, with The Coaches Training Institute and is an active executive member of the OPCA.

 

 
 



Pam Thompson, MSc.

Coach Facilitator Consultant

 

Pam has a diverse background and experience as a healthcare provider, university professor, consultant and project manager, in Canada, at the federal, provincial and regional levels and internationally in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe.  She is certified as a professional facilitator with the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), and is a certified business and life coach with Leadership University.  Pam has over 17 years of experience as a professional facilitator and personal and business coach. She is also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Okanagan Professional Coaches Association (OPCA).

Pam enjoys working with people and organizations in transition; and is passionate about creativity and inspiring and supporting others to be the best they can be. She has particular expertise in the health care sector, with different levels of government, research organizations and not-for-profits. Pam combines her innate curiosity and love of design with an ability to connect and work with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. She is skilled at building multi-stakeholder partnerships, process design and facilitation, and in developing strategy.

Bill has over 26 years of senior leadership and consulting experience in Human Resources and Management. He brings experience, perspective and rational solutions to his clients.

His services include review and development of Human Resources practices; organizational reviews; recruitment of senior & strategic positions;  workplace investigations; and, training.

Bill has experience in union and non-union environments and in the public, private and not for profit sectors.  His clients and employers have included organizations in the manufacturing, high tech, development, municipal government, education, and service sectors.

Bill likes to guide organizations and their staff in identifying Human Resources needs and developing solutions that reflect the vision, values and strategic goals of the organization.  He can step in and deliver support and services where are not available internally.
